Being familiar with these terms may help when playing Redx:

NYSE: New York Stock Exchange
Founded in 1817 and nicknamed the “Big Board”, the NYSE is the largest stock exchange in the world by dollar volume, and the second largest by the number of companies listed.

The Dow: Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA)
Made of 30 of the largest and most widely held public companies in the United States, The Dow is the main index used by the New York Stock Exchange.

How The Dow is calculated

The Dow = the sum of all 30 stocks ÷ a divisor

The divisor is adjusted to allow for splits, spin offs or structural changes to ensure that these events do not have too much individual influence over the value of The Dow.

The London Stock Exchange
Founded in 1801, the London Stock Exchange is one of the largest stock exchanges in the world, representing both UK companies and many international listings.

FTSE 100
Just as The Dow is the main index used by the New York Stock Exchange, the FTSE 100 is the main index of the London Stock Exchange and a measure of the success of the British economy.

As the name suggests, the FTSE 100 is a share index of the 100 most capitalised companies listed on the London Stock Exchange and represents 80% of the UK share market.
